The Studio and Directions

Our New House and Studio

We did it!! On November 18, 2008 my husband Elan and I bought the building of our dreams. We are currently under a big renovation to bring it up to code, but are living, working and loving it here.

The building is located on the Westminster West Road in Putney, 1/3 mile from downtown (corner of Signal Pine Road on the left, see directions below). It was built in 1909 as the Putney High School, and then became the first Putney Elementary School. In the sixties, it was the Psych building for Windham College and became a private residence in 1979. It is a gorgeous brick building with high ceilings and big windows. There are four studios to rent in the building, plus my own. Currently, Maggie Lake of Vermont Botanicals is renting two of them and Jill Noss, an exceptional photographer and painter is renting another. We currently have one studio available to rent. I am offering weaving classes for beginner and experienced weavers. The showroom is open by chance or by appointment. Call first for best chance of finding us open.
