What's New

There is a flow to my year. January and February I usually spend finishing up my orders from the past year. In March I get a vacation and then I begin setting the tone for the following year, deciding which areas of my work I'm wanting to grow in and beginning to move in that direction. Then I begin production and development. My first show of the year is Sunapee in August and then I'm doing shows until the end of December. It's taken a while to figure out that rhythm and it suits me really well.

This year, a lot of my time and energy have been spent manifesting a weaving school and a dedicated showroom. Both of these things are still in the works. Things are brewing and I'm excited. I purchased the contents of the weaving studio from The Fiber Arts Center (in Amherst, MA) when they closed in May. I presently have the equipment to run classes for eight students at a time and am looking for the perfect place to do that. I want my students to be as inspired by the natural beauty of the Vermont mountains and woods as I am. If you've been thinking about learning how to weave, let me know. I expect to have a space some time this fall with classes beginning in February.

In the meantime, come find me at one of my shows, check out my new colors and styles and look for my new line of bamboo scarves, coming later in the fall.
